Anchors Away!!! Cruising for All

I love everything about Cruising as a form of travel. I love that you can be sailing through the water one day, enjoying all of the features of your vessel, then stepping off into a new territory on the following day, in order to get a taste of a new culture. I love that you can visit multiple destinations in one trip. I love that you can get a sample of an area, which helps you decide where your next land trip will be.

One of my favorite modes of travel is an Ocean Cruise. As a native Rhode Islander, the ocean has always been a significant part of my life (we are the Ocean State, after all). I love the wide open vistas while at sea, the beauty of a sunset or sunrise over an unobstructed horizon. On today's beautiful oceanliners, I would happily sail to nowhere, just to enjoy the views and the amenities offered. Today's ships have Broadway-level shows, casinos, children's programs, spas, adult-only sanctuaries, unbelievable private areas with luxury accommodations and privileges, unmatched culinary programs, not to mention entertainment at sea that includes waterslides, race tracks, ziplines, aquacoasters, surf-simulators.... the list goes on and on. Truth be told, you could sail for a week, never get off the ship and still not do it all! But the added beauty of these floating destinations, is that they take you around the world - giving you the opportunity to have all of the above paired with a visit to a tropical island to spend the day at the beach, a historic city to explore ancient ruins, observe the fjords of Alaska, experience the miraculous wildlife in the Galapagos, have authentic pizza in Naples..yet again, the list goes on and on.

And let's not forget about River Cruising! River cruises offer a more intimate ship setting, and take you places never before explored via cruising. These smaller ships offer balconies close to the waterline, and you are never too far from land. On these inland waterways, you glean a unique perspective of these cities and towns. An upscale River Cruise through Europe, Asia of Africa is perfect for those looking to experience something unique, for active travelers, for "foodies" and for those who shy away from the larger Ocean Cruises.
